The flagship product of ABS-CBN Global is The Filipino Channel, widely known as TFC. This 24-hour cable, direct-to-home (DTH) satellite, online, internet protocol television (IPTV), and mobile TV service that broadcasts globally, carrying a variety of programs to suit the needs and preferences of over 10 million global Filipinos is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

To mark this milestone year, TFC has commissioned ABS-CBN Head of Creative Communications Management Robert Labayen, who has penned the lyrics of several of the company’s station IDs, to write TFC’s 30th year theme song. The composition and overall music production for the anthem was done by award-winning composer-record-producer and Creative Director of ABS-CBN Music Jonathan Manalo.

The song, “Always at Home with You,” carries the message of home being more than just a physical location, but most especially the sense of belonging within a community.

ABS-CBN Global Marketing Head Pam Castillo emphasizes that TFC’s 30th-year campaign goes beyond portraying TFC as a mere home away from home for Filipinos. Instead, it seeks to celebrate the global community we have collectively built.

Castillo reflects that in the last three decades, “with every broadcast, every movie released, every event mounted, TFC has built a global family and turned a strange land into something we can call ‘home.’” She adds that “the song ‘Always at Home with You’ reflects and honors how across the world, cultural connections have been built, our collective values strengthened, and dreams continuously thrive. The song embodies the idea of being a comforting presence for every Filipino, wherever they may be in the world.”

The lyric video will be launched on March 8, Friday, right after TV Patrol simultaneously across all ABS-CBN and TFC channels in the Philippines, in Asia, North and Latin America, Australia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

The video features glimpses of the recording process with top artists: Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, ZsaZsa Padilla, Piolo Pascual, Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan, Darren Espanto, and Gary Valenciano.

A week later, on March 15, a behind-the-scenes (BTS) version of the song will be launched and that will include interviews with all 10 artists and conversations with the song creators, Labayen and Manalo.

The full music video will be released in April, the anniversary month of TFC.

As Eugenio Lopez, Jr., visionary founder of TFC’s parent company, ABS-CBN, once articulated – “TFC’s mission is to serve the Filipino wherever he or she may be.” Through three glorious decades, TFC has provided a solid anchor, embodying the spirit of home for Filipinos, no matter where life’s journey has taken them in various parts of the world. TFC’s anthem, “Always at Home with You,” is TFC’s message of love to Filipinos all over the world, a special offering in celebration of TFC’s anniversary.

ABS-CBN Global COO, Jun Del Rosario, underscores the company’s commitment to service while adopting a forward-thinking approach. He assures audiences that TFC is dedicated to continuous evolution and adaptation, ensuring Filipinos worldwide receive the latest in news, entertainment, music, events, and all the content they desire. Del Rosario affirms, “This is what we do. TFC remains, and will always be, in a perpetual state of evolution. To fulfill our mission, we must persistently move and adapt with the ever-changing times, while remaining true to our essence of being the home for global Filipinos.”

Tune in to TV Patrol this Friday, March 8, for an exclusive premiere of TFC’s 30th anniversary anthem that promises to redefine the meaning of home. As we embark on the next chapter, remember, wherever life takes you, TFC is and will always be your home. And be on the lookout for more special and exciting offerings throughout TFC’s anniversary year.
