Since the signing of Proclamation No. 1096 on January 9, 1973, the month of February in the Philippines has been designated as Philippine Heart Month. The proclamation aims to promote awareness towards heart disease as a serious health concern among Filipinos.

Referring to a class of ailments that affect the heart and the blood vessels connected to it, Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) has been a longstanding global health issue. Accounting for the loss of 17.9 million lives annually, CVDs are usually caused by risk factors such as physical inactivity, health concerns such as diabetes and hypertension, alcohol and tobacco use, and an unhealthy diet. In the Philippines, CVDs have consistently remained to be the number one cause of death in the country, taking an estimated 50,000 lives each year.

To achieve better heart health, there are many practical steps Filipinos can take. One of these is adopting a healthier diet which has been shown to reduce the risk of CVD. In a new report that surveyed both Filipino consumers and Food and Beverage businesses, it was found that 99% of respondents have shown interest in adopting healthier eating habits. As more Filipinos are becoming increasingly health-conscious, there exists a need to create home environments that allow for people to easily practice and sustain healthier eating.

In line with Philippine Heart Month, to support Filipinos committing to living better lives, Philips Domestic Appliances has devised a kitchen innovation that allows for the creation of delicious fried foods made with up to 90% less oil – Philips Essential Airfryer XL.

Enjoy healthy frying with Rapid Air Technology

The Rapid Air Technology used in the Philips Essential Airfryer XL makes it possible to cook food using only air. Through its unique “starfish” design that quickly and precisely circulates hot air, anyone can create delicious meals that are both crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Fry, bake, grill, and more with up to 90% less fat

Open up a world of healthier culinary possibilities. Using just hot air, the Philips Essential Airfryer XL allows home cooks to fry, bake, grill, roast, and even reheat, while sparing homes from the odors that come with traditional deep-frying. Whatever the meal, the Philips Essential Airfryer XL cooks food to perfection using up to 90% less fat.

Make meals for the whole family

Designed with families in mind, the Philips Essential Airfryer XL sports a 1.2kg capacity basket and a 6.2L pan to easily cook up to 5 meal portions in one go.

Easy to use, easy to clean

The QuickClean basket that comes with the Philips Essential Airfryer XL is treated with non-stick coating for easy cleaning, and 100% of all removable parts are dishwasher safe.

Over a decade of Airfryer expertise

From the use of preset programs to easily cook a variety of foods, to the addition of a Keep Warm feature that helps ensure food stays at an ideal temperature, the Philips Essential Airfryer XL is developed by a team of experts who have devoted over 10 years to the goal of perfecting airfryer technology.
