Broadway singer and Filipina actress, Lea Salonga has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming HBO Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, the most awaited Pretty Little Liars reboot.
In her Instagram post, she revealed that she will be one of the characters of the said series. “The moms have descended upon the town of Millwood! And we have secrets and lies of our own (can’t let the children have all the fun)! So excited to be part of the cast of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin!” Salonga shared.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is a present-day iteration of the popular 2010-2017 American series that captured the lives of four teenage girls – Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily.
Citing the Deadline report, Salonga will play Elodie, Minnie’s (portrayed by Malia Pyles) mom who works overtime to keep her safe following a trauma that occurred when Minnie was just a little girl.
HBO Max first announced the news of a reboot in September 2020 which will follow an entirely new ‘generation’ of Liars hunted by an Anonymous revenge-seeker.
Joining Salonga as mothers for the next generation of a group of little liars are Sharon Leal (Dream Girls), Elena Goode (Straight Outta Compton), Zakiya Young (Orange Is the New Black), and Carly Pope (Demonic). Other cast members include Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Bailee Madison, Mallory Bechtel, and Eric Johnson.
The target release date of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has yet to be announced.
