The Travel Tour Expo 2025, one of the country’s biggest travel fair and dubbed as the “Black Friday” sale of tourism in the Philippines, has officially opened.

The expo, which runs from Friday to Sunday, is occupying two floors of the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, with over 300 local and international exhibitors.

The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA)-led fair is now running on its 32nd year and promises more huge discounts on flights, hotels, curated tour packages, cruise trips, shipping and visa services.

Some international travel deals go for as low as PHP25,888, such as the four-day-three-night Hanoi/Sapa, Vietnam package, with hotel, roundtrip airfare, and airport transfer for inclusions.

In a press conference, PTAA president Mariegel Tankiang-Manotok said the exhibitors were all required to have a “very good value for money discounts” before they could participate this year.

“The best part is that all of our exhibitors are PTAA-accredited. You won’t have to worry about being scammed and we can guarantee that their services are ait of great quality,” said PTAA Public Relations Officer Chal Lontoc-del Rosario.

The expo is expected to attract more than 100,000 in foot-traffic, especially as high tourism season approaches both domestic and abroad.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, who was present at the opening, said she was encouraged over the influx of travelers that attended its first day.

“This is really quite an encouraging display of how robust the tourism industry is in the Philippines and how excited Filipinos are to travel– the sheer number of participants, exhibitors, booths is really an indication of the robust growth of the tourism industry as well as the growing visitor receipts,” she said in an interview.

Entrance tickets are available at the venue for PHP100 for general admission and PHP80 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.(PNA)
