10. Sleep
In the face of all the tears and PMS anger, the ultimate form of defiance is sleep. Push the off button for just a bit, and wake up feeling refreshed.
Too often we wake up in the morning and think to ourselves, “I can’t believe I did/said/thought that last night.”
Yes, most of the activities featured here were some form of escape or indulgence, mere distractions from the complexities of PMS. But that’s just what PMS is: a result of regular biological functions, there is no set solution because there is no problem. PMS is a part of life and it will keep happening. So the best thing to do is to recognize PMS for what it is: you feel terrible now, and that’s okay, but know that you’ll be better tomorrow. Don’t let it ruin some of the most important things in your life when you could have just hidden from the world and watched Netflix for a few hours.
