‘Squid Game’ star Jung Ho Yeon embarks on a new journey as she has been selected as the newest global ambassador of the luxury brand, Louis Vuitton on Wednesday, October 6.
The brand has dropped a stunning all-white photo of actress Jung Ho Yeon and plain background, highlighting the brand’s black handbag during the announcement on Instagram.
“Ho Yeon Jung joins as new Global House Ambassador for Fashion, Watches, and Jewelry. Perfectly embodying the independent #LouisVuitton woman, the Netflix #SquidGame star embarks on this new journey with the Maison after first gracing the runway and being featured in a ready-to-wear campaign in 2017,” Louis Vuitton wrote.
“I immediately fell in love with HoYeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago.” – @NicolasGhesquiere,” the brand added.
This isn’t the first time the South Korean actor has been tapped by Louis Vuitton. In fact, Ho Yeon as a model appeared and walked the runway representing the brand’s 2017 spring-summer collection and participated in the brand’s 2017 pre-fall collection campaign.
According to a report by Single List, a South Korean publication, Ho Yeon commented “It is an honor to mark my beginnings as an actress with Louis Vuitton after having worked with them as a model,” as translated by Soompi.
“I’m looking forward to every moment I will experience with Louis Vuitton as their global ambassador,” the actress added.
Jung Ho-Yeon’s big break is when she played one of the most unforgettable roles in the Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ as Player 067 released in September 2021.
Before her acting career sprouted, she won the Asian Star Award at the 2019 Asian Model Awards and has been tapped for numerous fashion brands around the world.
