Journey of a Hotelier: Hotel Management, a free public webinar, will expound on the diverse opportunities available in different hotel departments amid the pandemic and beyond, to be conducted via Zoom on Monday, February 21, 2022.
Resource speakers from the World-Class Hoteliers In Progress (WHIP) will encourage hospitality students, aspiring hoteliers and young professionals to strengthen their goals in pursuing a degree in hotel management as well as develop a career path in the ever evolving industry.
The discussion will be spearheaded by General Manager Dr. Damacino Parcon and Front Office Manager Anngeli Reyes-Patiño, who will impart their decades-worth of experience in the hospitality scene.
Parcon finished his Master in Business Administration from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) and his Doctor in Business Administration from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).
He is a holder of Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and is a Certified Hotel General Manager (CHGM) from International Hospitality Institute and Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager (CHRM) from American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI). He has served as general manager for properties such as The Selah Garden Hotel, Selah Pods Hotel, Selah Lofts Hotel and Blulane Hotel.
Reyes-Patiño finished her Hotel and Restaurant Management degree as cum laude at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
She worked as Front Office Associate of New World Makati, previously Renaissance Makati City Hotel, plus Assistant Front Office Manager, Duty Manager and Front Desk Supervisor of the Marriott Hotel Manila. She is currently the Front Office Manager and OIC of Rooms of Operations of Sheraton Manila Hotel.
The online event is organized by the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB).
