Walt Disney Studios, the American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate, certainly got the attention of the public of all ages again. At the recent launch of the trailer for their new movie The Little Mermaid to be released on May 26, 2023.

This sudden change from the common pale-skinned mermaid that people, especially kids, have loved ever since, triggered both positive and negative remarks from those who have seen the teaser.

Despite the mixed reactions of the public towards the alteration in this upcoming version of The Little Mermaid, there is one specific trend that just brought joy in the midst of the noise. And that is when netizens, mainly parents or guardians, began filming their children’s reactions to the teaser of this movie where they see the new look of the little mermaid.

In one reaction video, the brown kid couldn’t help but exclaim twice — “She’s like me!”, referring to the new look that Ariel has on the trailer. It is heartwarming how it’s easily seen in the eyes of the kids as they watch the trailer that they are genuinely astonished with this. Of course kids love it when they find something that they can relate to, especially if it’s the life of one of their favorite Disney princesses.

It’s really unbelievable how much joy and happiness a relatable movie can bring to the children. Walt Disney yet again captured the hearts of the children by redoing ‘The Little Mermaid’.
