Immediately following the catsuit ban controversy, Serena Williams entered the tennis court in a tutu during the first round of the US Open. The tutu is part of a new collaborative collection by Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh & Nike entitled “QUEEN” after the world’s favorite tennis champion, Serena, herself.
Needless to say, this striking outfit by the tennis queen made the US Open more interesting and the fans loved it.
Beyond the original look that she served on the court, Williams said that the tutu was “easy to play in” since she has already used it in practice.
This response to the catsuit ban is too sassy and people can’t stop talking about it.

Bernard Giudicelli, the president of the French Tennis Federation, previously announced the banning of ‘catsuits’ in the French Open. He reportedly said, “It will no longer be accepted. One must respect the game and place.”
According to Williams, the Black Panther-inspired suit was custom-made to prevent blood clotting, after she had some complications after giving birth.
fun fact: serena williams “black panther” suit is used to help her with blood clots, something that ALMOST KILLED HER DURING CHILDBIRTH. yet it’s being banned for being “innapropriate”. pic.twitter.com/t53issYmT7

Instead of making the catsuit ban controversy a big deal, she brushed it off lightly by saying, “When it comes to fashion, you don’t want to be a repeat offender.” Another thing to add to the list of moments when Selena Williams slayed!
