Actress in a Leading Role: Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri)

Actor in a Supporting Role: Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri)

Finally….this makes me so happy. He's needed an Oscar for twenty years now. It's nice to see the Academy finally stop ignoring him. He's starred in so many unbelievable movies, his performance in the Green Mile is barely talked about by a lot of people despite the fact it was in one of the most popular movies of all time. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is one of the most slept on movies to date, and the list of indie/independent films he's been in is endless. He's a character actor, but at the same time he can easily pull off any lead role he's given. I know for sure he'll continue on, to accomplish many more remarkable things, and I'm just glad he's finally being recognized and praised in mainstream media. Don't ever stop doing what you're doing Sam ❤ [ #samrockwell #oscars ]
