For 18 years, Nylon has been servings its readers fresh-off-the-runway news and scoops. From daring style to undiscovered and non-mainstream music culture. Started in 1999 by Marvin and Jaclynn Jarrett, the magazine has been a powerhouse in the industry. However, one of the most-known fashion magazines in the world has formally decided to shut down its print activities as of September 2017. Its last issue features Kirsten Dunst entitled, “The Fashion Issue”.
However, the fashion magazine isn’t leaving the scene completely. They are concentrating on developing Nylon’s online publication, digital content and social media handles. They believe that the restructuring of the magazine is a move it has to take to continuously keep ahead of the curve. Nylon still serves up-to-date news by maintaining nylon.com and it’s numerous social media platforms including instagram.com/nylonmag/.
