Meet the creative minds behind Roche Bobois "Interactions." 👏🏼 • Tonight at @rocheboboisph's "Interactions" Auction Exhibition. 👏🏼 The luxury furniture brand collaborated this year with 10 creative Filipinos distinguished in their fields, each creating their own iteration of the brand's iconic, stylish Maj Jong Sofa: Bobby Mañosa, Ed Calma, Bea Valdes, Vito Selma, Paloma Urquijo-Zobel, Chat Fores, Jojo Lofranco, Geraldine Javier, Cos Zicarelli, and Nikki Luna. • Eugene Lorenzana, managing director of Roche Bobois Philippines, explained: "We wanted to have a diverse mix of collaborators so we selected first based on the field of expertise-architecture, interior design, art, fashion, and industrial design. Then we selected based on their achievements and how each has contributed to art, culture, and even commerce. With their talent, passion, and individualism, all 10 collaborators reflect the spirit of the Mah Jong." Hence, this collaboration truly is a display of Filipino culture and ingenuity to the world of design. • There simply is no piece of Roche Bobois furniture that is more adaptable than the Mah Jong Sofa. Created in 1971 by Hans Hopfer with the goal to provide total freedom and form, this iconic signature piece has been "dressed" by prominent fashion houses such as Missoni Home, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Kenzo Takada. • In "Interactions," each collaborator and artist created just one Mah Jong sofa, and pieces were auctioned off at the Mah Jong exhibition launch tonight at Whitespace Manila. A great success, each piece will truly be prized pieces in any home. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be going to the artists' chosen charities, including the main beneficiary Asian Cultural Council (ACC) Philippines Foundation, Inc. PAWS, Tukod Foundation, and AHA Learning Center. . . . #RocheBobois #Interactions #Exhibit #MahJongSofa #Artists #Creatives #Benefit #Cause #creative #artist #furniture #design #interiors #furniturepiece #iconic #presentation #auction #designers #designer #charity #goodcause #tonight
