Following fellow EXO group member Xiumin’s military enlistment, EXO’s D.O. announces through his agency SM Entertainment his plan for voluntary military enlistment this July 1, 2019.

EXO-Ls (the group’s fan base name) expressed their extreme devastation about their idol’s enlistment and how comebacks and album releases would not be the same without D.O.’s voice.

D.O. is EXO’s lead vocalist. Other than being a singer, he is also a talented actor who has manifested his acting skills in several critically-renowned Korean films and “koreanovelas” such as My Annoying Brother and 100 Days My Prince.

He finishes his mandatory military duties on January 25, 2021.

South Korea has implemented this mandatory military service since 1957 which requires all male citizens ages 18 to 28 should render approximately 21 months of military service.
